How Much Is A Hardship Payment
When a person has to miss work due to an illness or injury, they can get temporary total disability income. The amount of this income is based on how many days the person was out of work. The income can be a bit less than half of their regular salary. In some cases, if the person cannot return to work, they may qualify for a hardship payment. This payment is based on several factors, including the amount of income the person would have earned if they had not been ill or injured and whether there are children in the family who need financial support.
